The Burdekin Basin and Great Barrier Reef coastal waters have recently been the subject of a water quality improvement plan (WQIP) prepared by the NQ Dry Tropics Regional NRM body in collaboration with stakeholders.
Not scheduled. Draft consultation materials (reporting, maps) were released for comment from 2017, and are now under review.
Draft environmental values (EVs), water quality objectives (WQOs) and mapping for Burdekin Basin and Great Barrier Reef coastal waters are included in the Burdekin Region Water Quality Improvement Plan (WQIP) prepared by NQ Dry Tropics. They, along with other information sources, will be used to develop materials for scheduling under the Environmental Protection (Water and Wetland Biodiversity) Policy – the EPP (Water and Wetland Biodiversity).
The Burdekin Region Water Quality Improvement Plan website contains the main report, mapping and relevant supporting technical reports.
