  • Advanced activities

    Advanced activities are those that have more than a minor impact on the landholder's land use activities or business activities.

  • Landholder agreements

    Before a resource company can enter private land to carry out advanced activities, they generally must have a legally binding agreement with the landholder.

  • Protection from environmental nuisance

    Landholders are protected from environmental nuisance caused by the impacts of resource activities. This applies regardless of whether resource activities are taking place on a landholder's land or nearby.
